Q&A: My lithium battery cannot be charged when it doesn't have power, why and how can I do?
The lithium battery will enter over-discharge protection and the voltage of it will become 0, when the power is out. At this time, it needs a charger with output voltage to wake up the battery. A lithium battery charger or a 6 amp DC can do it.
But an SLA battery charger only can charge the battery that has voltage. So if you are using an SLA battery charger or no output voltage charger, the lithium battery cannot be charged.
We do recommend our customer using a lithium battery charger or charge the battery when it still has a little power.
Lithium Battery phosphate batteries are acid-free, so you can easily use them at home, at work or for your trusted, safe outdoor needs.
It is recommended to charge the battery with a professional charger in order to fully charge it (existing lead acid battery chargers (wet, AGM or gel) will also work fine)

2.What is a BMS? What does it do and where is it located?
BMS is short for Battery Management System. It's like a bridge between battery and users. The BMS protects the cells from getting damaged - most commonly from over or under-voltage, over current, high temperature or external short-circuiting. The BMS will shut off the battery to protect the cells from unsafe operating conditions. All RoyPow batteries have built-in BMS to manage and protect them against these types of issues.
The BMS of our forklift batteries is a high-tech innovative design made to protect the lithium cells.
